Health Articles archives ![]() Friday, January 10, 2003 i saw some ducks swimming at night once. i was alone, in a park, almost ten o'clock, with a beer in my hand. everything was pretty quiet - but you know, the usual, inevitable, snapping of a twig to the back and to the right sparked every now and again. randomly. i should've been scared or alarmed (or is that perturbed?) or a little edgy, missing a hear beat here or there. but you know, it's been too long. i've lived my life through as many situations as i can. i sense them around the corner and i casually take a turn and have a look so yeah yeah yeah, the moon and stars are there, pretty high over the lake. all looking quite sterotypical. quite cliche. but it was great, for once in a long time, i sat and enjoyed something that wasn't so out of the ordinary. everybody would have loved it's perfection. ever since that night i've always waited for some quiet moment with someone. i want someone to asked me "what is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?" you see, i saw a duck swimming that night. with the stars and the moon and the lake, and the beer. posted by Simon Friday, January 10, 2003 |
