Thursday, February 09, 2006  i stumbled accross an old chinese proverb this morning - when you have only two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other - if you listen to me, i say forget the bread and buy two lillies - and thank god kenneth patton said - the day i see a leaf is a marvel of a day - because now i feel okay, and now i feel fine - im not good enough, but really good - trees can and should blow our minds every single day - i have learnt that sacrifice is not a sacrifice at all - it's a pleasure - it's living and it's living well - education kills and chills, but in time it skills our life and suggests appreciation forever-ything - i used to understand that a fear of death is no reason to life - but no i can understand that a fear of life is no reason to die - and plato said - good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly - that is my desire to rebel - or to at least try to - and then i found out that picasso said - my mother said to me, "if you become a soldier, you'll be a general; if you become a monk, you'll end up as the pope" instead, i became a painter and wound up as picasso - and that seemed to make sense of all quotes and lyrics and lives that i have appreciated - that is what those people have done - done it alone and created something to put thier name to - forever? or for just today? - i don't think it matters - their comes a time everysingleday where you have to stop and start to appreciate yourself and the things that you're doing and have done - they are not idiots, that just like you - living forever is inevitable, so we don't have to worry about that one - i don't have to fight and promote and shmooze to do what i like - i splurge my time and have none to waste on that stuff - im doing it - i really want to reinvent myself - i really hope i can - i really hope i can, or else it might kill me as long as i can sit and read this by albert camus, i can realise my survival - autumn is a second spring... when every leaf is a flower - amen posted by Simon Thursday, February 09, 2006 |
