Health Articles archives Wednesday, October 16, 2002 however the funny thing is, today i read my second ever real publication. that is to say, held and read. it was a short story i wrote for one of my classes at tafe. it had been workshopped in that class - everybody seemed to like it, enjoyed reading it. lines such as "he gave stereotypes strength. he was junk mail." described a fat young man who had no friends with ego-boosting realism and understanding. however, the plot and storyline of this story seemed to lose and confuse most in and out of this class. even the people who lose and confuse me were asking questions. anyway, i got the story published. don't ask where, because that is just as important as asking "what time of day did they land on the moon?" (thats pretty clever) i walked in home and my mother was already cooking dinner. she asked to see the magazine, as for days she could tell i had been childishly excited about seeing it (that is to say holding it) in print. and she read the story in the kichen, as i listened from the living room. she calmly understood everything involved in the plot and storyline. i don't know what to think of this one. but you can feel free. posted by Simon Wednesday, October 16, 2002 |
